The Panthers announced last night that they have officially agreed to terms with former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Dave Canales to be their new head coach. ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that he has signed a contract that is good for up to six years.

We all know that this contract is actually good for as long or as short as team owner David Tepper’s patience lasts with Canales, but indications are good that he might make it as close to the half way point of this deal as at least Matt Rhule did of his own seven-year contract.
