2020 didn’t work out the way any of us expected it to. That was especially true for running back Christian McCaffrey.
I chatted with Christian last spring, just prior to the NFL Draft, and at that time, he was training, going through the Panthers’ offseason program under new head coach Matt Rhule, and looking forward to a big 2020 season. That was derailed by injuries; first a high-ankle sprain in Week 2 that kept him off the field for about a month, then a shoulder injury in Week 9, and a tweaked quad later in the season.
