Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey entered the league amid skepticism after being selected No. 8 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft. Initially splitting time with fellow running back Jonathan Stewart during his rookie campaign, the Panthers ultimately decided to lean on their new back and now he shoulders a majority of the offensive responsibilities.
Proving up to the task week in and week out, McCaffrey continues to break records while building up an impressive resume during such a short time in the league. Hoping to reduce his work load this season, an injury to starting quarterback Cam Newton forced the team to rely on McCaffrey considerably in order to move the football.
