Chris Houston sat out 2014 with a toe injury, and has decided to retire after injuring his toe again this week.
The Carolina Panthers took a shot on a multi-year starter late in June when they signed DB Chris Houston. After starting for most of his career with Atlanta and then Detroit, Houston missed 2014 with a toe injury. Houston reinjured the same toe on Sunday and has decided to retire rather than face surgery or additonal rehab.
Houston appeared to still have gas left in the tank and was getting great reps in the early part of camp.
