CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- There's a reason the Carolina Panthers have re-signed defensive end Charles Johnson twice since releasing him after the 2015 season that trumps a decline in sack production.
Leadership.
Most of the time that leadership is behind the scenes, like the moments Johnson stands up at halftime or before a game to give an emotional pep talk. Sometimes it's unspoken, simply the extra work and effort the 30-year-old puts into preparation.
But every once in a while Johnson, typically soft-spoken around the media, will put his leadership out there for the entire world to see.
