The veteran defensive end will miss at least 8 weeks after aggravating his injured hamstring against the Saints.
Panthers defensive end Charles Johnson announced on his Instagram (Tweeted by Jonathan Jones of the Charlotte Observer) that he has been placed on the injured reserve as the Panthers one player designated to return.

As Johnson alluded to in his Instagram post, the designation means the 9th year pro will miss a minimum of eight games and will not be allowed to practice with the team for the next six.
