The left tackle position has been a weak spot for the Carolina Panthers for a number of years. It seemed last year that they finally found their answer with Michael Oher. He was the first player since Jordan Gross retired to be the starting left tackle for the Panthers Week 1 for consecutive years.
Unfortunately, that didn’t last long as Oher was diagnosed with a concussion before Week 4 and missed the remainder of the season. ESPN’s David Newton reported that Oher hopes to play in 2017 however is still in the concussion protocol.
The questions about Oher’s health, along with Mike Remmers being a free agent, it would make sense that the Panthers would be in the market for a left tackle.
