As practices start to commence across the NFL, we’re going to see quite a few major injuries occur. Just hours after left tackle Russell Okung left morning practice early for unknown reasons, the first official major injury has occurred for the Panthers. According to Ian Rapoport, wide receiver Keith Kirkwood broke his clavicle going up for a pass. While he will definitely be out for several weeks, he is having surgery on the shoulder to repair it, meaning he will be back at some point relatively soon.
Kirkwood checked all the boxes for new head coach Matt Rhule as a former Temple Owl, as well as all the boxes for new offensive coordinator Joe Brady as a former New Orleans Saint.
