The Carolina Panthers and Buffalo Bills enjoyed some quality work during training camp this week as many familiar faces returned to their old stomping grounds. For coach Sean McDermott, who spent six seasons alongside Ron Rivera as defensive coordinator, the chance to match up against his former boss has to be enjoyable – especially in the relaxed atmosphere of preseason.
But he isn’t the only one making a return. The Bills and Panthers have shared many players over the course of the past two seasons since McDermott moved north. Star Lotulelei, Dean Marlowe, Kurt Coleman and the recently acquired Captain Munnerlyn all remain with the Bills while other former Panthers – Derek Anderson, Kelvin Benjamin, Mike Tolbert and Joe Webb have moved on after landing there following their departure from Carolina.
