The draft after the draft has begun with the Panthers now looking to the fascinating 8th round. It's here where teams can find hungry players they didn't look at enough, or guys who fell through the cracks. Most of these players wont crack the roster, but every year there's one of two gems that stand out.
Last year the Panthers found Philly Brown as a UDFA, and now there's a good chance he'll develop into the team's go-to slot receiver. Safety Robert Lester was in a similar pot, and Byron Bell before it. Any time you get a rotational guy out of the UDFA pool it's a win, and while this year's group might not have as much top-end talent, we could see a few guys being a good fit.
