Carolina Panthers: Two players make Forbes’ Highest-Paid Athletes

Forbes recently released their annual rankings of the athletes with the highest earnings over the past year. The latest group includes two Carolina Panthers, including one player who has yet to take a snap with the team.

Quarterback Cam Newton is first on the list at 56th. According to Forbes, Newton made $26 million over the past 12 months, with $13 million from salary and another $13 million from endorsements.

Newton re-upped his deals with Danon, Gatorade and Beats after his MVP season. He also endorses Carolina’s HealthCare Systems and Electronic Arts. His Under Armour cleat is the company’s best-selling football cleat.
