With the recent news of Carolina Panthers interim general manager Marty Hurney being placed on leave after allegations of harassment by his ex-wife, it has been reported by Jason LaCanfora that the Panthers plan to hire an external candidate as their full time general manager.

Hurney’s ex-wife has dropped her complaint of harassment, but the Panthers appear to be ready to distance themselves from the situation completely by going with an outside candidate for the full-time general manager position.
