Carolina Panthers sign versatile OL Chris Scott to one-year deal

Set to be an unrestricted free agent next week, versatile offensive lineman Chris Scott signed a one-year deal to come back to the Carolina Panthers.

Scott, a spot starter for the Panthers since 2013, has mostly played at guard during his time in Carolina. He was drafted in the fifth round of the 2010 draft by the Steelers.

Scott played guard in the Super Bowl after Andrew Norwell went down with an injury.

Financial terms of the deal were undisclosed. Scott had a salary of $825,000 last season.
