The Carolina Panthers have secured the future of their special teams unit by signing punter Michael Palardy to a three year extension. Palardy has been with the Panthers since 2016.
Many Panthers fans were devastated when the team lost their previous punter, Brad Nortman, in free agency following his contributions to their Super Bowl run in 2015. Palardy, an undrafted free agent, made up for that loss and then some by providing consistently impressive punts in his time with the Panthers.
Is it silly to spend this much time talking about a punter getting a contract extension?
