In case you missed the news yesterday afternoon, the Carolina Panthers have signed a long snapper to fill in for J.J. Jansen in tonight’s preseason finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
According to a report from Max Henson on the team’s website, veteran long snapper Andrew DePaola has signed with the Panthers for what is seemingly just a few days of work.
“J.J.’s left hand has been bothering him and we decided to sign a snapper and hold J.J. out tomorrow night as a precaution,” general manager Marty Hurney said.
