I was really excited at the Carolina Panthers hiring defensive backs coach Perry Fewell. So far, it appears he is making an impact on this team. Fewell is a veteran in his own right, having coached in the National Football League for 34 years. With such a talented secondary, the match between the Panthers and Fewell seemed like one made in heaven.
As head coach Ron Rivera told Panthers.com, perhaps Fewell’s greatest strength is just letting his players play. Perhaps that is the smart thing to do as well. With guys like Donte Jackson and James Bradberry at the position, they already have a good feel for what they’re doing.
