Carolina Panthers veteran linebacker Thomas Davis has checked a lot of boxes over the past two seasons, highlighted by his first appearance in a Super Bowl in February.
Davis picked up another honor Tuesday when the Pro Football Writers Association named him the winner of its 12th annual Good Guy Award, given to the player who maintains professionalism while helping the media do its jobs.
Davis is the first Panthers’ player to win the award. This year’s other nominees were Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell, Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson, Broncos linebacker DeMarcus Ware and Bengals offensive tackle Eric Winston.
