Carolina Panthers hire Pat Stewart as director of player personnel

The Carolina Panthers have hired former Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots national scout Pat Stewart as their director of player personnel, according to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport. Stewart worked with Panthers head coach Matt Rhule at Temple.

Joe Person of The Athletic has confirmed the report.

Confirmed Pat Stewart hired as director of player personnel. Panthers not expected to hire as asst GM. This is the new hire. He'll oversee the pro scouting side, Jeff Morrow will retain exec. dir. of player personnel title and continue to oversee college side.
