According to a report by Alex Marvez of Sporting News, the Carolina Panthers have hired former Michigan head coach Brady Hoke as their defensive line coach. Hoke replaces Eric Washington, who was promoted to defensive coordinator when Steve Wilks left to become the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals.
This will be the first NFL job of Hoke’s coaching career. He was most recently Tennessee’s defensive line coach in 2017, and became their interim head coach after they fired Butch Jones in November.
Hoke is mostly known for his failed attempt at leading Michigan to the promised land from 2011-2014, where he compiled a 31–20 record, including an 18–14 record in Big Ten play.
