The Carolina Panthers have made a decision on Ron Rivera’s future. The head coach has been fired by the team. According to multiple media reports, special teams coach Perry Fewell has been named the interim head coach.
In addition to the firing of Rivera, Norv Turner will be named the special assistant to the head coach. Quarterbacks coach Scott Turner will assume the role of offensive coordinator.
No matter what your opinions are of him, there is no doubt that he had a successful career as head coach of the Carolina Panthers. Taking over in 2011, he led the team to three straight first-place finishes in the NFC South from 2013-2015.
