Carolina Panthers’ head coach Ron Rivera could miss beginning of training camp after brother’s death

Sad news for the Carolina Panthers and Ron Rivera on Tuesday as the head coach’s brother passed away.

Mickey Rivera, 56, passed away after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer, a team official confirmed this evening, via ESPN.com.

Ron Rivera will be traveling out to Mickey’s family and hometown of Reno, Nevada for the services which are set to occur later this week.
