On Tuesday, the Carolina Panthers released starting fullback Mike Tolbert and defensive tackle Paul Soliai. This move opened up $4 million in cap space per Spotrac. However, it also means the front office now has two more positions they must fill this offseason.
The Panthers luckily have plenty of options to address these needs either in free agency, the draft or possibly already on the roster.
Players Currently on the Roster
There are currently two fullbacks on the Panthers roster who could step into the starting lineup next season. Johnson was signed by the Panthers last offseason as an undrafted free agent but was placed on injured reserve and waived prior to the season.
