The Carolina Panthers used a majority of their picks in last year NFL Draft on the cornerback position by selecting James Bradberry, Daryl Worley and Zack Sanchez. This group showed some promise but in today’s pass heavy NFL, teams can’t have enough cornerbacks.
The front office decided that the right fit was a former Carolina Panther as they agreed to a deal with Captain Munnerlyn. The 28-year old started his career with the Panthers but left three years ago as a free agent, joining the Minnesota Vikings.
In determining the grade for the Carolina Panthers signing Captain Munnerlyn, it is broken down into four categories (player, team fit, team need and contract) and each category is worth up to 25 points.
