The Carolina Panthers made a roster move yesterday by claiming center John Yarbrough off waivers after placing tackle Dillon Gordon on injured reserve with a shoulder injury. Yarbrough was most recently with the Cleveland Browns before he was waived on Friday.
A four-year player at the University of Richmond, Yarbrough played in 39 career games with 28 starts. A 2018 All-CAA second-team selection, Yarbrough helped protect for an offense that threw for 2,906 yards and 15 touchdowns, while rushing for 1,206 yards. He’s a native of Homewood, Ala.
Also, according to The Athletic’s Jourdan Rodrigue, former Panthers linebacker Brandon Chubb was waived from injured reserve with an injury settlement.
