The offseason is here for the Carolina Panthers. Teams across the NFL are gearing up for what should be yet another wild year of free agency. From franchise tags to big-time, draft day trades and everything in between, the NFL offseason is a roller coaster ride of a “season” in itself.
After returning much of the same NFC Championship core from 2015, the Panthers 2016 season saw a dramatic downturn in performance. From 15-1 to 6-10, it’s clear that this offseason sticking to the status quo will not suffice any longer.
The draft, where Carolina will select at pick number eight, is still a ways away and before focus turns to the young blood coming into the league, Dave Gettleman and company must pay attention to the free agent market.
