According to a report from Joe Person and Rick Rothacker of the Charlotte Observer, Canadian steel company CEO Alan Kestenbaum is visiting Charlotte today. Kestenbaum is one of four known bidders for the Panthers, who were put up for sale after reports of workplace misconduct from current owner Jerry Richardson surfaced last December.
According to the Observer’s report, Richardson is expected to decide on a buyer in ‘the next three to four weeks’ to give NFL owners an opportunity to vote on the sale during their spring meetings in Atlanta in May.
Kestenbaum and some of his associates are scheduled to be at Bank of America Stadium throughout the day to get a closer look at a franchise that is expected to sell for more than $2 billion.
