Last season was a down year for the Carolina Panthers in almost every statistical category. This was a bit expected for a team that in 2015 won 15 regular season games, had the highest scoring offense and a Top 10 defense in terms of yards allowed as well as points against.
However, it was surprising to see just how far this group fell after returning a majority of their team that made it to Super Bowl 50. The Panthers scored almost eight fewer points per game (23.1) than they did in 2015 and the defense fell to the bottom third of the league in yards allowed and points against.
