Raleigh, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers will report for training camp in Spartanburg, S.C. on July 27 at Wofford College, and the team will hold its first practice on July 28 at 6:30 p.m.
Despite the departure of All-Pro cornerback Josh Norman this offseason, the Panthers’ young core remains mostly intact on both sides of the ball.
In addition to Norman, Carolina parted ways with cornerback Charles Tillman, safety Roman Harper and defensive end Jared Allen. Both Tillman and Allen retired following the season, and Harper rejoined the New Orleans Saints after his release from Carolina.
In search of Norman’s replacement, Panthers General Manager Dave Gettleman selected three cornerbacks – James Bradberry, Daryl Worley and Zach Sanchez – in the 2016 NFL Draft; the team will also return Bene Benwikere and Robert McClain.
