CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Cam Newton didn't play like a top-10 quarterback last season, but his merchandise sales remain on that level.
The Carolina Panthers' franchise player finished 10th on the NFLPA's top-50 player year-end sales list of officially licensed merchandise that was released Wednesday.
Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott topped the list that includes the sale of all merchandise and apparel, making him the first rookie to be No. 1 at year's end. He was followed by quarterback and teammate Dak Prescott, and the New England Patriots' Tom Brady.
