Cam Newton is picking up the 2016 season where he left off a year ago when he was named the league's MVP.
The Carolina Panthers quarterback scored on a scramble in the first half of the season opener against the Denver Broncos on Thursday, putting him in the NFL record books, per Steve Reed of the Associated Press:
RECORD: Cam Newton has a new TD dance and a new record. He has run for more TDs than any QB in NFL history.

He now has 44 rushing touchdowns in his career, passing Steve Young (43) for the NFL record.
