Brady Hoke’s 5 coaching principles to defensive linemen

While it hasn’t been confirmed, the Panthers are expected to hire former Michigan head coach Brady Hoke as their new defensive line coach. Hoke has never coached in the NFL, but he was a defensive line coach at Oregon State and Michigan from 1989-2001.

As the head coach of Michigan in 2012, Hoke spoke at an Ohio High School Football Coaching clinic. The full presentation lasted just under an hour, but I was able to transcribe Hoke’s five principles about coaching the defensive line.
