CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Laura Hoke declared "we have no plans of moving anywhere else" when her husband was named the head football coach at the University of Michigan in 2011.
Her husband, Brady, had been climbing the coaching ranks for more than 20 years, with stops at Grand Valley State, Western Michigan, Toledo, Oregon State, Michigan, Ball State and San Diego State before returning to Michigan as head coach. He had reached one of the pinnacles of college football.
It was time to stay put.
Less than four years later, after being fired at Michigan with a 31-20 record, the Hokes were on the move again with stops at Oregon and Tennessee.
