BOSTON -- Boston College will retire the jerseys of Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan and Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly in separate ceremonies during the 2016 season.
Ryan and Kuechly will be the ninth and 10th players to have their jerseys retired by Boston College, joining Art Donovan, Bill Flynn, Gene Goodreault, Mike Holovak, Lou Montgomery, Charles O'Rourke, Tony Thurman and Louis Urban. Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Doug Flutie (No. 22) and Outland Trophy-winning defensive lineman Outland Mike Ruth (No. 68) are the only players to have their numbers retired by the school.
