According to CBS Sports, the Chicago Bears have signed veteran defensive tackle Ziggy Hood after releasing defensive tackle Jeremiah Ratliff, who was involved in a heated exchange with GM Ryan Pace and resulted in an open spot for Hood.
CBS Sports writes:
'A former first-round pick in 2009, Hood was placed on injured reserve by the Jaguars to open the season due to a foot ailment, but was released earlier this week. Given that he's now listed on the Bears' 53-man roster, Hood has presumably recovered from the injury and should be available in a backup capacity for the team's next game Nov.
