Fullback Alex Armah, the team's sixth-round draft choice in April, signed to the practice squad after clearing waivers Monday. Armah, who was released Sunday to make room for quarterback Brad Kaaya, could have been picked up by any team that was willing to add him to their 53-man roster.
The Panthers' practice squad now features 11 players, one more than most team's maximums. That's because the team has an exception for defensive end Efe Obada, who's part of the NFL's International Player Pathway Program.
