A Spartan Leading The Carolina Panthers Secondary

Remember the days when the Carolina Panthers had Mike Minter in the secondary? The team leader of the secondary who could be relied on for making the big play when needed and it seemed like he always came through.

Minter finished his career with 790 total tackles, 9.5 sacks, 8 fumble recoveries, 15 forced fumbles, 15 interceptions and 4 defensive touchdowns over his 9 year career. Minter’s numbers backed up his attitude of being a team player and doing what it takes to win.

However, since Minter retired before the start of the 2007 season, the Panthers have had a difficult time trying to find someone who will produce the same numbers in the secondary.
