A look at what the snap counts meant for Panthers' Ealy, Finnegan

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Five observations from the Carolina Panthers' snap counts and Pro Football Focus grades in Sunday's 41-38 victory at New Orleans:

Kony Ealy: The defensive end was in for only 12 of 61 defensive snaps while end Charles Johnson was in for 51. So much for easing Johnson back into the lineup after being out eight weeks with a hamstring injury prior to the Thanksgiving Day win at Dallas. Perhaps Ealy having consecutive offsides penalties against him had something to do with his diminished role. He was taken out of the game at that point.
