Shaq Thompson
Every NFL first-round pick has to be in the pool of players who have the most to gain. Shaq Thompson, who will play weakside linebacker for Carolina this fall, was the 25th overall pick in the year’s draft. Thompson will have to solidify his starting role and prove himself among other linebackers, including David Mayo and Adarius Glanton. Thompson will have to display his work ethic and talent to lock in a starting position and gain the respect of his teammates like any rookie would have to do.
