Brandon Facyson, a redshirt senior, is one of Virginia Tech’s best kept secrets heading into the 2018 NFL Draft. The 6’2”, 190 lb cornerback is projected to be an early day 3 pick, but that could all change pending his combine numbers and medical clearance.
Speaking of medical clearance, should I mention that he is already planning for his post-NFL future? Facyson has spent his time in Blacksburg preparing to go to medical school with the ultimate goal of becoming a heart surgeon.
In football, Facyson made his name as a true freshman in 2013, snagging 5 interceptions and a fumble before being narrowly edged out by fellow Hokie cornerback and 2016 3rd pick Kendall Fuller for ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year honors.
