2017 NFL Draft: Potential Panther? Jake Butt

Bio

A four-star recruit, Butt appeared in all 13 games as a freshman, including eight starts. In fact, his emergence contributed to the move of Devin Funchess from TE to WR in 2014. However, Butt torn his ACL, and only made five starts as a sophomore. In 2015, Butt had 51 receptions for 654 yards with three touchdowns, and many predicted he would enter the 2016 NFL Draft.

According to Walterfootball, Senior tight end Jake Butt could have been a second-day pick if he entered the 2016 NFL Draft, and probably would have graded out similar to the first tight end selected, San Diego's Hunter Henry, who was taken early in the second round.
