The Carolina Hurricanes picked up their first lead of the night thanks to Jeff Skinner’s second goal on Henrik Lundqvist.
Brett Pesce hit Skinner with a great breakout pass after a defensive zone faceoff, and Skinner was able to fight off a defenseman and beat Lundqvist on the backhand. Jaccob Slavin also got an assist on the goal.
It’s Skinner’s second goal of the night and his fourth of the season. Pesce and Slavin both picked up their second assists of the season.
