Eligible for the draft in 2013 and signed as a free agent by the Carolina Hurricanes that summer, Sergey Tolchinsky has made a name for himself by showcasing his dazzling repertoire of moves.
Still being only 19 years of age last year, the young Russian seemed out of place during the Hurricanes' pre-season as he seemed to struggle adjusting to the pace of the NHL .However, going into training camp last season he displayed exceptional numbers in the OHL with Sault St. Marie recording 31 goals and 60 assists in 66 games while being an asset on the powerplay.
