Well they won’t get swept.
Brady Skjei scored with 3:11 left on the clock, and the Canes turned choking a 3-1 lead into a beautiful disaster. The goal finally came on the Power Play.
The script prior to the Power Play Goal was setting up to be similar to previous games. The Canes had a lead, the Rangers fought back for a tie, and the Power Play had once again not been able to generate any offense. Overtime—and a sudden death goal to end the Canes’ season—loomed.
Skjei changed all that with one shot, as he was able to use a screen in front of Rangers goal Igor Shesterkin.
