Senators 4, Hurricanes 2

The Ottawa Senators looked a bit more desperate than the Carolina Hurricanes and defeated them 4-2, on Thursday night at the Canadian Tire Centre.

The Hurricanes outshot the Sens in every period, but the home team scored first each time and held on to win it at the end.

After the Senators took a 1-0 lead at 7:36 into the game, Jordan Staal would tip in a Joakim Nordstrom shot to tie the game with just 23 seconds left in the period.

The Sens would jump ahead 2-1 on a goal Eddie Lack would probably like to have back, but a red hot Riley Nash scored a powerplay tally late in the second period to tie it.
