It was announced on Wednesday that Sebastian Aho will be the Carolina Hurricanes’ representative at NHL All-Star Weekend in San Jose, California. All-Star Weekend is slated for January 24-27.
It is Aho’s first All-Star nomination.
Aho, 21, leads the Hurricanes with 39 points in 38 games played. He ranks 19th among Eastern Conference forwards and ninth among Metropolitan Division forwards in points. He is the first Hurricanes forward to be named an All-Star since the 2011 NHL All-Star Weekend, which was hosted by the Canes in Raleigh. Eric Staal and Jeff Skinner were both all stars that season, as was Cam Ward.
