Just when it seemed like everything was all set at the top of the Hurricanes organization with the Rod Brind’Amour contract extention, reports coming out Thursday night make it sound like there will indeed be changes at the top.
After the Canes were eliminated last week, understandably fans were paying a lot of attention to the expired contract of the head coach, as well as the mountain of free agents that will have to be dealt with in the offseason. The roster is likely going to look dramatically different going into the 2024-25 season, but in the chatter about that change, Elliotte Friedman dropped in one thing that didn’t really resonate at the time.
