Projecting the Carolina Hurricanes Prospects: Defensemen

Related Topics: Carolina Hurricanes

The Carolina Hurricanes have done an excellent job drafting and acquiring young prospects. While there is a plethora of forwards in the system, the ranks of defensemen is also strong.

The six D-men that started the season for Carolina are a young, talented group. The average age is less than 24 years old. Given the organization’s salary cap space, it is likely that the d-corp will be together for years to come.

But there is always a need for depth due to injuries, trades, or unexpected poor play. As has already been demonstrated this season, prospects are available who can step in when needed.
