The Carolina Hurricanes outplayed and outshot the opposition for much of the game but came up on the short side of a 3-1 outcome to the Nashville Predators on Tuesday night at the Lenovo Center.
The Preds scored on their first attempt of the game when a harmless shot off to the side of the net somehow got behind Pyotr Kochetkov, and Michael Bunting tucked it in to make it, 1-0.
In the meantime, Juuse Saros was standing on his head at the other end of the rink.
Nashville would score again on their first shot of the second period and the home team responded by not allowing another shot on goal until late in the period.
