Minnesota Frost 5, Ottawa Charge 0 - PWHL

On Friday night, the Professional Women’s Hockey League invaded the Lenovo Center and 10,700 hockey fans turned out to watch them.

Those fans were entertained as the Minnesota Frost defeated the Ottawa Charge 5-0.

Maddie Rooney picked up the shutout win and was named the game’s first star. She now has an 8-4-1-2 record.

One of the Ottawa goalies she faced was Gwyneth Philips, who attended Northeastern University while setting several records there. She left Northeastern with a career .958 save percentage and made the USA National Team.

Both players and coaches were interviewed after the game and they all were impressed with the crowd, which was enthused and loud throughout the game.
