It could be easy to overlook Seth Jarvis’s numbers at mid-season. They are certainly not stellar, but terrible they are not.
From Jarvis’s play during last season’s playoff run alone, you could expect more. Much has already been said about Jarvis working through a sophomore year, and improving his game. In only his second year in the NHL, that work already appears to be paying off. Seth Jarvis already is on track at the mid-season mark to surpass his freshman year’s marks in all the right places as his game continues to improve.
Out of the gate, while the rest of the Carolina Hurricanes were playing hot, Seth Jarvis was taking his time and settling into his season more slowly.
